I started to read a new book this week. "The Mercy of Thin Air" by, Ronlyn Domingue.
I just about half way through and I LOVE it! The story takes place in present day and flashes back to the 1920's. A couple find and old bookcase at an estate sale and purchased it for their home.
Razi drowned in 1929, in the pool of her first and only love, Andrew, she was now a ghost traveling the in between. The bookcase once belonged to Andrew and when it opened, Andrews essence was released and prompted Razi to follow the bookcase back to Scott and Amy's house. Razi watches the couple and plays a few tricks on them. I get so sad to think of Razi, not being able to really communicate with the living, and the way she loved Andrew. When she died and met a friend in the "in between" she was told she shouldn't see Andrew, to just leave him alone to heal, so she lost track of him through the years, then goes on a search for him. I'm not giving anything else away with this one. I love how the book tells two powerful stories at once and how they become linked. Great book!
